Biography

Born and raised in the capital of Poland, Warsaw. His active interest in the electronic dance music started with visits at Warsaw’s cult club Filtry where the first spontaneous rave parties took place in the country. He quickly decided to actively take part in the new culture and begun collecting recordings with this new music with the intention of presenting it to a wider group of dancers. He first records he bought were those of Orbital, Future Sound Of London, Plastikman, The Orb, Autechre and many other electronic music pioneers. Later, he took his first steps as a DJ at the legendary parties at the Alfa, Hybrydy and Trend clubs. In 1995, he went for the first time to Berlin, which turned out to be great inspiration for his later career and even to this day continue to influence his style of playing. He regularly visited the city, each time expanding his vinyl collection. Since that time, he got settled at the clubs in Warsaw and played at all the important places connected with spontaneous and uncontrolled dancing. His talent was quickly spotted all around Poland. Thanks to his very good selection of records, experience and charisma, he obtained a great reputation, which allowed him to perform at the best clubs in Poland. He has visited such cities as: Poznan, Sopot, Wroclaw (Music of Love Festival), Krakow, Szczecin, Bialystok, Lublin, Katowice, Zielona Gora, Suwalki, Bydgoszcz, Jaworzno, Augustow, Lodz (Freedom Parade), Olsztyn, Zakopane, Gdynia, Plock, Torun. As a result of his achievements in Poland and contacts in Europe, he took part in the Boomerang Festival in Bratislava (Slovakia), Red Bull Music Academy 2000 in Dublin, some venues in London and the 2004 Techno Parade in Paris. He has performed at countless parties with most of the top Polish dj’s and supported many guest from the whole world such as: Jeff Mills, Miss Kittin, Dave Clarke, Scaner, Daniel Bell, G-Man, Pacou, Oliver Ho, Funk D'Void, Pauli Steinbach, Mike Grant, Lee Van Dowski, The Hacker, Mario Neugebauer, Damon Wild, Highfish, Tiefschwarz, Ada, The Clones, Zombie Nation, Dave The Hustler, Tobi Neumann, Fillipo "Naughty" Moscatello, Joel Mull, Agoria, L.A. Williams, DJ Rolando, Phil Kieran, Martin Landsky, Portable, Alex Kid, Christopher Just, Steve Bug, David Carretta. What's more, Mic doesn’t only limit himself to just playing at parties. He supports the underground dance scene in Poland by writing articles and reviews for music magazines such as: Plastic, Techno Party, Kaktus, Laif, Fluid, Aktivist. He likes to surprise and uplift the public. He doesn’t limit to only one style by picking out the most interesting dance tracks from various music genres (techno, electro, house, electronic body music, minimal, dance punk rock, neo disco and other hybrids). He uses them to unembarrassed expression of wide range of human emotions, invariably carrying to make the dance floor boil and something above it. More...
