The Clubbers DJ – that’s the nickname Danny Howells earned from his fans, charmed not only by the magic of his sets but also enchanted by the extraordinary outspokenness and great nature of the Hastings DJ. Regularly noted on the lists of the most popular DJ’s he is, modestly speaking, an original figure on the music scene, definitely worth taking a closer look at. Known mostly from the compilation series ‘Nocturnal Frequencies’ Howells started with performances in his hometown, where promoters from the whole Great Britain had the opportunity to spot his talent. As Danny was given the chance to show off his skills together with such name as John Digweed during the famous Bedrock and Babealicious nights the explosion of his career soon followed. He didn’t have to wait long for the bookings from Europe and, consistently, from the whole world. Since then Danny’s abilities are being constantly developed and are illustrated with his brilliant livesets and numerous compilations, remixes and own productions. Original, inspired by many genres – although coherent and logic – Howell’s style is best presented by mixed CD’s, especially Global Underground’s ‘24:7’released recently. Music played by Danny is described as ‘deepsexyfuturistictechfunkhouse’ – the length of this label says all about the variety and wealth of his typical vibe, which is further improved by perfect track selection. His remixes and brand-new ‘Spikes’ single are also of the same, highest quality. Comments[0]
