Jonathan Lisle

Jonathan has been collecting house music since 1989 and was “discovered” by John Digweed in 2001 when he was so impressed with Jonathan’s unique sound and his live sets that he invited him to do a guest mix on his Kiss FM show, and DJ with him at Bedrock (London) and in the main room at Bedrock (Brighton).

Word of his refreshing style soon spread and as well as playing regularly at Bedrock he has since shared the decks with the likes of Sasha & Digweed and others at large festivals such as Gatecrasher SSS, Dance Valley 2003 and Global Gathering (all Bedrock arenas) and recently headlined at Pacha, Buenos Aires to a 2,500 capacity crowd.

He has played main rooms such as at Spundae @ Circus, LA (twice) and Stereo, Montreal and has played with Cass in New York, Steve Lawler in Atlanta, DJ Three & Randall Jones at Spundae Chicago, Hybrid in Miami and Danny Howells at Simons, Gainsville.

Jonathan has also headlined in New York, San Fransisco (Qool), Miami (Level), Mexico, New Orleans, Moscow, Norway, Sweden, Texas, Jacksonville, Holland, Ireland as well as the UK. He has won a mixing competition in South Africa, had guest radio mixes on Radio 1, Phil K’s Kiss FM (Australia) radio show and across the US.

Jonathan plays a unique blend of intelligent/progressive breaks and quality progressive house.

As well as DJing, Jonathan is currently working in a studio on his forthcoming “Doors in the Wall” EP which he is writing and producing himself and which will feature ambient, intelligent breaks and progressive tracks. He is also currently working on a breaks project with Bill Hamel in the US.

Jonathan also works with Bedrock Records in an A+R capacity and has just set up his own label, M Theory.
