Jerome Robins is known for his daily work at Release Records, one of the world's finest record shops. Jerome gained relevant work experience while living in the UK for the better part of the 90's. As one of the shop's principle owners, he utilized his skills to give Release Records what it has earned today, an impeccable Global reputation. In 2001, Jerome progressed into studio production. From this, his pseudonym "Oxygen" was born alongside Release partner Adam Nathan & Perfecto's Mach 747. Both tracks, "Troubled Souls" & "Inside Me" have received loads of play within the progressive circuit with both being licensed to several compilations, namely Parks & Wilson presents "Trust the DJ" & Deep Dish - Global Underground #25 - Toronto. While living in England, and after playing many of London's West End clubs, Jerome established a work ethic that still is evident today. Despite his challenging work schedule with Release, Jerome now finds himself in demand as a DJ with bookings coming from across Canada, the U.S., Mexico & now South America. In addition, Proton Radio (Internet broadcasting's gold standard for underground music) asked Jerome to co-host a weekly show entitled Forward. Since its inception in 2002, Forward has become one of Proton Radio’s most tuned into weekly shows with one of the highest listenerships on the network. In the summer of 2003, Jerome was brought onboard as one of the residents for Breathe @ System Soundbar in Toronto. Breathe is a name synonymous with clubbing within the progressive music community & has quickly established itself as one of the best Friday nights in North America. In just a few years, Breathe has become a regular stopover for some of the World’s finest DJ’s. Jerome Robins’ reputation is bound to grow as he continues to polish his studio work & plans to have further releases on one of his 3 home labels. And as a DJ, Jerome looks to build upon the strong foundation with his unique vision of what makes a dancefloor move. Comments[0]
