Resident at seminal trance club Skank since 1993, Edinburgh-based Dave Begg is one of Scotland’s most established DJs. Alongside regular guest spots worldwide, Dave can be found dropping deep twisted progressive, atmospheric breaks and jackin' tech-house at monthly residencies at Area 51. As well as doing progressive reviews for M8 Magazine and Dutch Xpander Dave has also dabbled in production. His debut single "Structured" was released on legendary label Hook Recordings, receiving prime time airplay on Kiss FM and featuring on Radio 1’s Essential Mix, and several collaborations are currently being completed for release in 2004. The release of the acclaimed Alienbeats mix CD series, guest spots in clubs and on radio and internet broadcasts around the world in New York, Tokyo, Amsterdam, Moscow, Australia, Canada, Denmark and Ireland have helped Dave push his sound to a truly global audience. His unique DJing style combines chunky progressive with twisted techy beats and basslines, alongside breaks and tough tribal sounds, all mixed with technical precision to guarantee mayhem on any dancefloor. Regular guest spots include some of Scotland’s best nights: Colours at The Arches (Muzik UK Club of The Year 2001), Majestica (Edinburgh), The Rhumba (Perth), Concept, La Belle Angele. Further afield, Dave has proven his ability to hold his own amongst the top DJs in the world, headlining at top nights including: the Melkweg (Amsterdam), Password (Moscow), Q Club (Zwolle, NL), Xpander parties at Nighttown (Rotterdam), Deep Space Nites (England), not to mention the legendary Sublime nights at Wilkie House. Forthcoming guest spots include dates in Moscow, Oslo, Sweden, Switzerland and Amsterdam.
