 22 year old DJ & Producer Danny Graham from Portsmouth, England has come far in a short space of time. It all started in November 2003 when he was featured in “IDJ Magazine” for supplying one of the best mixes of the month. It wasn’t long after that Danny was contacted by the heads of Distraekt Records, Piliavin & Zimbardo who caught wind of the mix and invited Danny to fly to Miami and play at their Distraekt Records party at the Winter Music Conference in 2004 alongside DJs of the caliber of Tom Stephan, Deepgroove and many others. 2005 provided another invite to Miami and the Winter Music Conference; this time warming up for the likes of Robbie Rivera, DJ Vibe, and Tom Stephan. Since Miami, Danny has had regular bookings in the UK at such nights as: Empathy in Bristol, which has been described as “one of the best progressive house nights in the country” by “IDJ Magazine”. He’s also appeared at eK in Southampton and Mezze in Portsmouth. Another of Danny’s regular gigs is Punch Funk which is one of his favorites and is fast becoming one of the top nights in England. As well as the UK and the US Danny has been an ever growing reputation in Eastern Europe with headline sets in Poland at great venues like Sonobar in Bydgoszcz and Bledne-Kolo in Krakow and in Lithuania where Danny headlined Club Global. Danny’s talents have been recognized and rewarded the world over and have landed him guest spots on radio stations across the world. He has guested on Tom Stephan’s show on the world famous Kiss 100 station and has had mixes on Energy FM (Cyprus), Planeta FM (Poland), Vakuru FM (Lithuania), Radio Doble Nueva (Peru), Future Generation FM (Turkey) Fresh FM (Holland) and Nova FM (Ireland). Danny also hosts his own internet radio show Punch Funk which started life on Mercury Sessions before moving over to the top internet station Proton Radio which airs on the 1st Tuesday of every month featuring some of the world’s best DJs. As a producer Danny has had releases and has tracks and remixes coming out soon with PJ Davy (on EQ Grey Ltd), Rob Mooney (on Proton Music), Dave Robertson and Kevin Swain. With support for Danny’s music coming from world’s foremost DJs such as John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo, Tom Stephan, Steve Lawler, Dave Seaman, Desyn Masiello, and Lee Burridge, Danny continues to establish himself as one of the hardest working, most consistent up and coming artists in the industry. Danny can continue to be seen regularly ripping up dance floors as part of Punch Funk which is held twice a month at Drift in Portsmouth and once a month at the K1 club in Bournemouth. The night is a huge success with parties going off all over the south coast with DJs that have played a Punch Funk event so far including Josh Wink, Funk D’Void, Phil Kieran, Valentino Kanzyani, Meat Katie, Justin Robertson and with the likes of Timo Maas, Eric Prydz, King Unique & Nic Fanciulli as well as many others appearing in the coming months, it’s a night not to be missed! Danny is also looking forward to gigs in Poland, Lithuania, Switzerland and at Club Class’s ‘New Mix’ night in 2006.
