We’ve been constantly supporting activities of American Fade Records label, but name of Chris Udoh appears on Sound Revolt for the first time. This black DJ and producer of Carl Cox’s posture releases mostly within Tigerhook Corp. But not only, as e.g. his solo EP “The Beetleeoou vol. 1” was released in January this year.
“Everyday of the Week” is track produced in melodic tech house convention, so means techy is almost only percussion here. The other instruments, despite their dirty sound, in the peak moments build almost symphonic arrangement with a substantial dose of drama. However, vocals here I don’t really support.
Fortier’s remix slightly disappoints me. As a matter of fact he’s got rid off the disturbing vocals, but also by the occasion removed the best synth parts as well. This remix is mostly heavy drums and coming back in fashion acid 303s.
Summing up, not bad, but Fortier had accustomed me to higher quality productions and releases.
