Since Cortney Tidwell’s debut album ‘Don’t Let Stars Keep Us Tangled Up’ in 2007, people such as Ewan Pearson have made incredible remixes for Tidwell’s pieces. For her latest effort, ‘Boys’, released back in June 2009, the UK-based imprint Aus Music prepared the ‘Palace’ EP. Consisting of two wonderful remixes of the homonymous track, this EP is a continuation of this line of great remixing. The first remix provided by Michel Clais is a creatively instrumented and hypnotic version of the original track, better suited for the dance floor. The second, made by Will Saul & Tam Cooper, comes as a freer reinterpretation of ‘Palace’, and is strongly supported by a strong processional spectrum, placing more emphasis on the beautiful vocal flow.
