Hot on the heels of one of 2009's hottest tracks to date, “Pitto's 'Feelin'', comes the next golden nugget from Edwin Oosterwal and Joris Voorn's incredible Rejected label. This time it’s the first of an exciting new series from label head Voorn.
The first instalment of the “Dusty House Series” enters “Room 1”. Inside are two choice cuts that perfectly showcase Voorn's sublime ability to be able to create beautiful textures, showcasing the depth and fullness of his sounds.
“Sweep The Floor” delves into old-skool territory. Tricky hi-hats get eaten up by a subtle marching bassline. A cheeky guitar lick, horn stabs, vocal drop and it takes off. This is a floor burner of the highest order, and one that will keep the floor grooving all the way.
“Empty Trash” (you following the theme right?), shows Voorn's skill of injecting his techno attitude into his house productions. The focus is on menacing synths, and when primed and at their most dangerous, perfectly timed, Joris drops the vocal, and wraps things up with a great bassline.
Joris Voorn has mastered the skill that all producers search long and hard for. His ability to consistently deliver music that connects and creates euphoric feeling on the floor is, right now, unmatched. “Lets Go Juno”, “Blank” and his recent remix of “Namgo's Kitchen” are perfect examples. Here, with “Room 1” of the “Dusty House Series” we have the next instalment ready to be unleashed.
