The M_nus crew has a thing for technology. Their constant search for new sound possibilities and its imprint on the dancefloor have taken Ritchie Hawtin and company to a level of divided critics. You may think their usage of computers, networks and custom made gadgets as a deviant fashion but the truth is that, whether this puts them in a sort of handicap or not, they’re bringing new alternatives to dance music.

For the 49th installment of the Fabric series, Magda sought for inspiration in 70’s Italian horror films and of course, the M_nus paraphernalia. The result is an elegantly dark composition of minimal techno layers in which the intention is not about energy or intense beats. It’s more about the atmosphere that the combination of several in-tuned tracks can create, an atmosphere that it’s not possible without any of theses pieces and the communication they create by being merged in that manner.

The set is daintily crafted and very homogeneous. It does not evoke the sensations of powerful beats, but then again, this is what the mix is not about. Instead, Magda prefers to takes us to a dark and subtle ambiance.
