News: Meat Katie Bangs the Hammer for Lot49.

News added 20th March 2004

UK based breakbeat/house kingpin, Mark "Meat Katie" Pember, has announced the launch of his brand new Lot49 label.

A worthy successor to his influential Whole 9 Yards imprint, which ran from 1998-2004 but due to internal dispute currently lies in limbo and has no plans for further output.

”Lot49 will be an outlet for high quality tech-funk, the sound I’ve been pushing over the years” according to Pember. “Breakbeat that carries influences from tech/tribal house to straight up techno will be featured” added the DJ/Producer.

Tracks and remixes already confirmed for the new imprint come from, Force Mass Motion, D.Ramirez, Sly Fidelity & Club Foot, Elite Force, Christian J, Forme, Lee Coombs, and Meat Katie himself.

The label's debut, "The Way' by Dylan Rhymes which also features a remix from Brighton rockers Evil 9, will be released in May 2004 and will be distributed by Intergroove Ltd who will also be the sole distributor for the Whole 9 Yards back catalogue.
