Five years have gone by since we decided to create a website dedicated solely to electronic music. As the years flew by, pretty much everything underwent a change or two in one way or another: our staff members, our taste in music, the people we hang out with, where we live, the cars we drive and our priorities in life. One thing didn't change, however - the web site's layout.
We figured the fifth anniversary would be the perfect occasion to make the switch, the end result of which is a completely new website.
Besides the new layout, Sound Revolt is far more functional now, and comes equipped with new and improved sections, which will make your visits to SR a more interactive experience than ever.
Clubs – now, you can not only browse our clublisting, but you also update the database. What's more, all clubs in the listing can be voted for in six categories, and we will be publishing the results and updating the listing on a regular basis.
Labels – we managed to accumulate quite a considerable amount of labels in SR's database over the last half decade. Now, you have access to it as well.
Events – we've changed two things here. First off, our staff will only be adding the events that Sound Revolt will be recommending. All other events can be added by users on their own!
Secondly, instead of competitions for tickets, we will be offering you a pool of guest list entries. If you want to get into a party or event without waiting in line and for free, just click on 'add me to the guest list' (availability will vary depending on the promoter), type in your name and surname, and the drawing machine will do the rest.
Artists – users will now be able to add artist photos to every artist profile.
Comments and Ratings – you can now comment and rate pretty much everything now. All opinions will also be visible in the forum.
Photos – new photo galleries will now longer be added. The link to the photo archive is available at the bottom of the main page.
If Sound Revolt's new functionality arouses your interest, you can be sure that we will continue to develop the website in this direction in the future.
In the meantime, we hope that you continue to enjoy your time spent visiting SR. Any opinions, suggestions and reporting of any possible errors (we're hoping that there aren't too many) is more than welcome in the comments section.
