Fabrice Lig, who hails from Belgium, is the man behind the Mauler pseudonym. In the span of his career, he has released more than 30 records on well known and renowned techno labels. However, ‘The Hybrid Project’ is his first release on Trapez. The opening track, ‘Hybrid’, is a mixture of “contemporary” minimal elements and sounds straight from Detroit. Definitely worth having a few listens to. The B side offers listeners something completely different. ‘Micro Ballad’ is undoubtedly not a track for the dance floor, despite the fact that the melody gets stuck in your head almost instantly.
