This release is the first time I’ve actually come across anything produced by Salvatore Freda and Massimo Stefanelli. After a quick search on the web, it became apparent why. Namely, Freda has no more than 3 releases under his belt in his relatively long career, while Stefanelli is actually making his debut as a producer on ‘Endless Ride to Honolulu’.
Both of the tracks on the latest from Trapez have the same shortcoming and exactly the same highlights. As far as the latter are concerned, both are very dynamic (up to a point), both are filled with an array of sounds you’d normally expect to hear in quality trance tunes, and both should do the trick on the dance floor. However, it really is a shame that they both lose what made them so good before the build up afterwards. Instead of listening in awe, you’ll probably end up scratching your head while wondering why the Swiss duo chose such a solution.
