Although only signed to Four:Twenty for a year, London based TG's releases have already gained high acclaim from DJs including Laurent Garnier, Loco Dice, Luciano, Konrad Black, Funk D'Void, Carl Cox, Steve Lawler, Rob Da Bank, Annie Mac and Paul Woolford.. Here TG releases 'Cave The Speakers' - his forth release for the label. 'Cave The Speakers' original is a slow moving, deep melodic grower that twists in distorted synth detail.. Wagon Repair's Konrad Black sleazes down the mood and turns in a dark and steady concentrated groove with a nicely executed mid-way funk break.. Bonus track 'Willis' is a mad excursion into the world of the disjointed reverb. TG's first love was playing the guitar and from the age of ten the young musician shifted through genres including jazz, soul, rock, folk and fusion. At first he recorded songs and ideas on eight-tracks, but switched to electronic music and computer sequencing four years ago, after developing a passion for French house and Drum n' Bass. "The first time I heard Daft Punk I thought what the hell is that? I was so fascinated by their sound. That was the turning point". Today, drawing on techno, minimal, Dn'B and house influences, TG effortlessly fuses them into his own unique style: "I'll try any direction, maybe deep, but scratchy is my constant. I like little bleeps and lots of reverb. Making sounds out of nothing" TG's recent gigs include: His London residency at Herbal (for Four:Twenty), alongside DJs such as Konrad Black, Serafin, James Mowbray and Daniel Stefanik, Beatport's anniversary party at Watergate in Berlin with Funk Da Void, Cass & Mangan, Tom Neville, Matt Tolfrey and Audiofly; The Hive Club in Zurich with Resident Dani Koenig; London's Turnmills and 93Feet East in London. With more releases out this year on Four:Twenty Recordings, Infant Recordings and a remix for Lee Burridge's "Almost Anonymous", as well as contributions to the latest Renaissance mix CD, Carl Cox's Global mix and Dean Ramirez's Ministry Of Sound compilation, TG's profile is set to rise even more in 2007.
