Beta Blokka - Evolve

By official press release:

Following the outstanding releases of Dzierzek & Liousias and Minilogue, Silver Planet again delivers a storming release from two newcomers Ian Pinnington and Wade Bennett aka Beta Blokka.

Based in Portsmouth the young lads met at Soundproj-x / Stimulate where they were both resident DJs. But it was studying midi sequencing and software under the tutelage of Dave Robertson that Beta Blokka came about. Supporters of Beta Blokka include none other than King Unique, Mylo, Lee Coombs, Dylan Ryhmes, James Talk and Silver Planet’s own Luke Dzierzek.

Beta Blokka’s debut single consists of unique, forward thinking electronic dance music at its best. ‘Social Handgrenade’ opens the single in a unique and hooky electro-acid-prog fusion – a groovy but tough electro stormer with a rocking bassline and a superb hook – guaranteed to get any dancefloor going in a matter of seconds. Released digitally at the end of 2006 exclusively on www.djdownload.com as a teaser, this track remained in DJ Download’s Top 10 for 3 months reaching number 4. ‘Evolve’ is another techy electro-pop monster that kicks in the right places with a breakdown so big it is impossible not to want to dance to this.

If you have heard any of these tracks in any of the sets by King Unique, Mylo, Lee Coombs, Dylan Rhymes, Mashtronik, James Talk and Luke Dzierzek among many then you will have no doubt that this is one of Silver Planet’s strongest debut singles – one not to be missed for sure!
