 Official Press Release: James Priestley is best known as co-promoter and resident DJ of London's infamous secretsundaze club, known as the party of choice by ravers and UK dance media alike. Having toured the globe as one of London's finest young DJ exports, his studio partnership with Dan Berkson is gathering steam, with remixes for the likes of Spektrum being snapped up and licensed by the likes of Loco Dice, DJ T and Alex Neri & Mar-T. His first compilation, Secretsundaze Volume 1, alongside Giles Smith, is released on secretsundaze Music in September. Chicago native Dan Berkson arrived in London with a strong jazz background, having been schooled at the esteemed New England Conservatory of Music. Turning his skills to deep electronic house, his productions soon found favor with Steve Bug amongst others and subsequent releases on Poker Flat as well as Crosstown Rebels, Mood Music, Movim, Exun, Gourmet and Household have cemented his reputation as one of UK's finest new wave of producers. 'Chariots', their Simple debut, is a luscious house treat. Driving percussion and throbbing keys move towards a crescendo through airy synths while the classic piano melody comes in to send the dancefloor to a blissful climax. Soul and melody with a tight little groove, everything we at Simple love! Acclaimed Frankfurt duo Motorcitysoul, who made their Aus debut earlier this summer, turn their hand to the remix. Rotating clicks and punches move towards an ever intensifying push, while melodic whispers gather around the central chord progression, combining to create a deep and dreamy finale.
