Plastic Music announces the arrival of QOC-Recordings onto it’s label management roster with the debut release from label boss and big time Dutch DJ/Producer Joyce Mercedes. The Golden Stars EP is a powerful progressive statement, full of uplifting energy & joyous melodies, and awash with both tribal & trance influences.

For those who have yet to be be acquainted with Joyce Mercedes, she lives in Amsterdam, reached number 109 in the DJMag Top 100 in 2006, DJs across many continents every month, is rated as one of the best female progressive house DJs in the world. Joyce has shared stages with the likes of Sasha, Anthony Pappa, James Holden, Paul van Dyk, Chris Fortier and Derrick May, and has progressive house in the most pure form in her blood.

Her DJ style is funky, techy, soulful, tribal, trancey, and psychedelic, and having received her Audio Engineering degree in 2004 at the School of Audio Engineering (SAE) in Amsterdam, and studied further on the more specialized course in Electronic Music Production, she has now begun to produce her own music.

Joyce is now launching her own label, QOC-Recordings, to release her debut EP, ‘Golden Stars’, and will be introducing other new and promising artists through the label in due course.
