Roughly one year after the first release on Outside the Box Music, Nick Hogendoorn & Eelke Kleijn return to the label presenting their Mr. Pick EP. Having done tracks and remixes for labels such as Global Underground, Baroque and Ork Recordings in the meantime, they are gradually but steadily building a solid name for themselves.
Mr Pick evolves around a dissonant but catchy melody and bassline. Short vocal fragments and crunchy percussion are added while the track progresses. We can see this one being picked up for the mainroom sets.
Dreiergruppe takes a more experimental direction, starting off with a groove somewhere in between breakbeats and triplets. It gradually flows towards a 4/4 beat being accompanied by haunting effects and clever rhythmic changes, following in the footsteps of Naked is Not OK.
