Lee Burridge couldn’t have chosen a better name for his label. After a little over a year in the business, despite 3 great EPs in its catalogue, there hasn’t been much commotion around the imprint. The latest release from Almost Anonymous is sure to change that. On the dancefloor at least, that is. Exercise One have undeniably had a great year, and these two reworks will even further cement their spot among 2007’s top techno remixers. The Berlin-based production and live act duo took Lee Burridge and Dan F’s much calmer but energetic ‘Treat 'em Mean, Keep 'em Keen’ and turned it into 2 very different very brutal dancefloor beasts that will definitely be on my own personal list of favourite party tracks by year’s end. What’s more, because they’re different, they could probably be played back to back to great effect. Buy both without even bothering to listen to any samples. Or better yet, buy this release on vinyl.
