After two very successful 12"s on MBF Piemont have earned their role as one of the key players on the label. With their new record "Bastille" they have developed their style even stronger in the fashion of their first two releases. Piemont have taken some time out to deliver a record that really works with similar parameters. Their trademark so far has been a fat production that strips down elements of electro-house and progressive elements in a rhythmical way that makes them one of the best producers from Hamburg. MBF is proud to present a 2 -tracker with the tracks "Bastille" and "Montmartre". Both tracks are in a way clonk groovers with occasional peaks that set the floor on fire. Blessed with a good deal of understatement and an extraordinary feeling for the groove they manage to have a big effect with seemingly few sounds. The a-side track "Bastille" is a a true fat prime time rocker that fills the air with bass and sequences that make Italy legend Alexander Robotnik come alive. Whereas the flipside track "Montmartre" is more specialised and connects psychedelia with pop. Comments[0]
