Release: Sei A - Sei A | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
Official press release: Imprimé has gone from strength to strength in just three releases, with label boss Alexkid serving up tracks and remixes from Julien Parisé, Mirko Loko, Markus Enochson, Redshape and Bentobox. Now, Imprimé stride forth with an eponymous ep from Glasweigen production genius Sei A. Known for his output as Droido on Soma, Crack & Speed and Missive, Andy Graham has an impressive pedigree which looks set to develop further. Intricately electronic yet warm and deep, "Sei A" is a vocal track with a real sense of depth. The superbly effected vocals constantly tease while repetitive melodies and expertly executed production tweaks drive the track along subtly and effectively. Kindisch and Mood Music artist, Gavin Herlihy, is given the remix reins and turns in an outstanding techno re-rub which bridges the gap between classic and contemporary brilliantly. Rounding things off is "March of the Midi" - a melancholic but strangely uplifting slice of electro-influenced techno which, if we're not mincing our words, has "bomb" written all over it.
