 Official Press Release: In the aftermath of his well received album release, Kuniyuki’s latest Mule release comes in the form of a collaboration with German house artist Henrik Schwarz and Yoshihiro Tsukahara, live guitarist with the ‘Kuniyuki Band’. After performing a set together on Henrik’s tour of Japan, the group decided to come together to record live in Kuniyuki’s studio. Once finished, both Kuniyuki and Henrik took home the parts and crafted a track that expresses their individual perspective of
the session. On side A, Henrik sculpts a heavily percussive house number, equipped with throbbing synth melody and chimed keys over an acoustic tribal drum beat.
Kuniyuki’s interpretation is more clubby than his usual output, with a distinct Detroit techno edge. Layers of riding cymbals, panned melodic keys, plucked guitar and sustained pads unite and climb to blissful climax in an epic and psychedelic 12 minute track.
