Several well known names remix tracks by a popular British band on a label that released stuff like Steve Mac’s „That Big Track” and Bush II Bush’s “Piano Track”. Let’s see then…

The original comes from the “Forwards” album and sounds like a mixture of British rock, Radiohead and Air. “Waling Away” is a nice, dreamy song for armchair listening.

Undoubtedly a different purpose Tocadisco had in mind while creating his remix. It consists of electro stanzas and breakdown/build-up choruses with guitars and vocals playing the main part. As far as I dig the guitars, I completely don’t like the stanzas, where not to ambitious synthline goes together with a bass on the same notes. Even children behind the piano know that you shouldn’t play the same thing with both hands.

Pure class was shown by Kiki who for three minutes prepared the grounds with something between a stanza and an intro and then threw the bombs in the form of a drilling electro bassline accompanied with guitars and bells. Wicked!

I never took part in praising Mylo and I don’t think I ever will. Surely not after hearing his remix of “Wall”, which is a pretty banal electro we heard a million times.

Five for Kiki’s rework and the original. You can live without the rest.
