It is great that for its second release Twisted Frequency chosen PJ Davy’s tune.
PJ has already got its recognizable style and it can be heard in the original tune. There is some fantastic rhythm, grooves, metallic sounding synths and bleeps and creaks, meticulously placed in the right places. Good craftsmanship, but nothing much more than that.
The Harcourt and Welton remix is a real smoothie but unfortunately loses some of the original edge. All the necessary sounds are there, it’s just the energy that’s err… gone missing.
