Scott McFadyen is Canadian, whose project named Com.munikation has gathered quite a big audience. His four tracks were finally released last year on a double vinyl (“1 Westbound”, Red Antenna), and now another two on a 12” for Fade. I will contrary start from the B side. “Which, Why” is a track, which has been arranged like an 8 minutes long introduction. Despite the solid beat, warm baseline and held in reins synths, something’s creaking and noising in the background. And this is how the track goes from the beginning to the end, which leaves me with my appetite a bit unsatisfied. So I fling myself on “G In Your Glow”, which I perfectly know from Fortier’s “Audio Tour” compilation. This track is much more complex. Gathers tempo from its first minutes, to make a final attack, more or less in the middle, with a lofty synths melody. I’m sure, dealing with this nearly an anthem song will make your legs soft. I don’t know if “Which, Why” deserves a single release, though its restrained nature may took your liking to it. However the A side compensates a possible discontent with interest.
