C-Jay is a 28 old Dutchman, who apart from DJing and running a record store in Amersfoort, in the beginning of this year started releasing his own productions. The effects are very promising, as his tracks are being promoted by Moshic, Shiloh or Greg Benz. The enthusiasm of the author is even bigger! He has brought into being his own new label, The Session Recordings, which has released two of his recent tunes.

“Deepwater”, the track from the A side, can call associations with deep and cold ocean indeed. The piece is from a sort of dark and atmospheric ones, with a fantastic synths layer, surrounding the whole scope of reception. A great effect has also been achieved by a slightly echoed kick drum, according to which we may have the impression like the beat has been made of two clumsy mixed tracks. I like it!

“Second Sessions” goes even deeper into darkness. The breaky rhythm in the first part, brings to the track some predatory claws. Later on, after the breakdown, the claws become a hypnotizing monster.

I pay a very special attention to this release, because it has been made in times, when in the progressive genre rule melodies, vocals, bells and other sweetness. There’s no such things, according to which there’s still some space for imagination. Get it!
