Trafik - Bullet

This record is a total storm bringer; an intense air raid with a pinch of the "subtle" touch. If anyone is looking for contradiction in the second part of the sentence... reconsider! Unbelievable diversity of unexplained moods and ambiguous thoughts is here from start till the very end. Musicians (I'm not afraid to use this noun here) responsible for the whole incident are Andrew Archer, John Elliott (Trafik) and their guests: Jonny Longrigg (vocals & guitar) with Rachel Lambert (female tranquillizer).

The effect. From the tonal depths into a serious, Led Zep sounding kick off - male vocals, stern background riff smattered in electronic grease followed by some trippy indy sounds. As the piano enters we encounter first serious thrills and twists of the tale. It’s one of the most dynamic and solid beginnings ever sought with multilayered live and computer-generated sounds mixed alongside! With each step we become more aware that the piece is somewhat historical. Early-stage standouts include middle part of “Revolutions”, nice Jamiroquai sounding guitar in “Escape From” and old-school dancefloor stunner “Disco Trafiko”.

Part2: Rachel’s act.
Time to "relax" as we are sucked into another dimension with the mentioned track. A softer one. It’s hard to describe the sensation I get whilst listening to “Into the Wind” or the most appealing peace anthem since John Lennon's opuses - “Surrender”. Funky, light and brisky tones buttered by crunchy interludes seem to be Trafik's natural playground - but as we hear the ending we discover the real versatile of the duo. All in all the soothing part is just a killer. Each of the contributing factors has an exact place in hierarchy. Perfect intuition and sharp imagination both contribute to lifelong ingenuity of this genre-breaking release.

This is truly one of those releases that you cannot miss - whoever you are, wherever you dwell.
