People round the World are perfectly aware that Chris Salt’s sound is a notion ahead of the ruck. Approaching his sixth (excluding remixes) original work, we may start to think if this is the right path for progress.

A-side provides an unambiguous answer to this question: yes! It’s certainly one of the most heavily embroiled and multifarious musical portraits tinted this year. Final effect strikes with pure unpredictability and unaltered energy. Typical Salt’s soundscapes enriched by new patents and broadened tonal spectrum are something that one shall not miss. One of those A+ tracks.

Speaking bout expectations, form and derivatives – Aidan Lavelle seriously perplexed the original. Abundance of sounds, turns and twists is not accompanied by any serious kick-in-the-butt pattern in this case. Lack of the highly-praised disquieting strokes, know from tunes like “Eli” is noticeable. Maturely constructed and well-thought track, but overgrown and drawing associations with Arrakis – “Aira Force” in many moments.

In overall account, Chris constantly keeps on pushing forward. He has chosen the winding road but it shall not stop him from breaking successive boundaries.
