Turkey is abundantly endowed in American military bases and clever producers. That latter bevy has been enriched by Emrecan Cakir, whose latest issue on Pangea Recordings is now examined by Sound Revolt.
Shivers, pulse acceleration, adrenaline fluctuations - those are phonomenons not obtainable while listening to „Mesa”. Structural core of the song is schematic and grossly resembles earlier Pako & Frederik’s works. Warning! Several samples may seem archaic. More original and “progressive” sounding “Starfall” is a mishmash salad as well. Humming rhythm section plus deep synths without any major hook place the record on the far end of consumer grey area.
Prog may generally be on the run, but production wise it has almost reached a dead end. Hopefully it will glance off from there.
