We’ve been waiting two years for this album. The creator of hits like “Apollo Vibes” and “Protected” was known for his soulful sound but this time he even surpassed himself. His artistic vision is a 60-minute long journey through depth, melancholy and beauty.

Benoit Franquet decided to sit in an armchair leaving one foot on a dancefloor and managed to prove that these acrobatics can be done very well. The album’s leitmotiv are songs with amazing voices of very well known Shelley Harland, Sandra Ferretti and Kirsty Hawkshaw. “Abrasion” and “Scared To Lose” smell like Madonna on “Ray Of Light” but despite this breath of rehash I can’t stop listening to them. The same goes to a broken “Inner Turmoil” that enchants with its pure tangle. Big amount of vocals is balanced with progressive and quasi-dance compositions, which form an album that’s able to steal an hour of our life without us even noticing it.

I’ve “lost” over a dozen of hours and even though I have heard similar sounds in various projects I still return to “Zero Gold” with pleasure. Pleasure many of you will hopefully share.
