Existence Records is a fresh label from Canada founded by two Poles: Paul K and Paul S. As you can tell from their sets, they love dark progressive sounds and their first release fits into that area as well. But can you love “Into The M”?
Habersham is a very known artist for progressive breaks’ fans. The co-owner of Blueprint and Lobotomy Records delivers a deep production, good for early stages of DJ mixes. ”Into The M” is a smooth track for warm-ups but it surely won’t make people hot.
The remix by the label founders is a similarly sounding tune with more simple beat and additional synthline. And that’s alright but the work by Mikel Curcio isn’t. I have no idea what’s the point of putting a remix sounding almost exactly like the original.
Existence 001 is good for warm-ups but generally I have to put it on the shelve with other average releases.
