 The first part of „Technicolor EP” was strong mostly due to the quality of the title track. Does the disc two have another monster up its sleeve? It definitely isn’t “Space Design” - a track based on a worn out idea. 4/4 beat, powerful, humming bass with melodic synth loops and a broken breakdown – nothing extraordinary. However, Silver Planet keeps the best for the flip again. Melodies on “Still Searching” are more soulful, because instead of regular looping, Orchid created a more complex line, which sounds a lot more natural and organic. The disc ends with a remix by Gordon Carpenter and Sean McClellan known as KVK. The Americans didn’t come up with anything new except for some cosmetic changes and reduction of the original power. Too bad they didn’t explore the line started in the breakdown. Not a bad release but thanks to those melodies I’ve just got a hiccup.  Comments[0]
