Sometimes it takes ages for a musical gem to be released. The original mix of “Faith” is a relatively new track for me but PJ Davy’s remix used to destroy me months ago on Hernan Cattaneo’s sets. However, it’s finally out and surprisingly only in digital.
The label owner’s original was also a big surprise as I didn’t expect him to have an affair with detroit techno. Classic synths in the background and an elaborate main line together with brisk tempo form a subtly energetic whole.
As far as the prototype is alright, PJ’s work will surely be taken into consideration while choosing the best remixes of 2005. Brit came up with a murderous bass, stripped down the main line and added pads that complete the act of destruction.
It’s so nice when artists you count on once more do not let you down.
