Dave Seaman’s creative activity, despite his undoubtedly high position on the dance music market, somehow hasn’t yet aroused delight in me. Also not quite clear idea of “now Greece” in “Across Borders” makes rather sort of discouragement. Or should I say “had made” until the moment when “This is Audio Therapy” landed in my car audio player. The first CD is a mature progressive DJ set. Seaman from the very beginning seems to know what he’s doing, though the “Legacy” acapella doesn’t really suit me. However, Semana makes it up for fantastic “Dryspell” from Habersham and even better “Monster Puppy” from Kosmas. This Greek producer is just celebrating his big moment, as two following tracks have also been made by him. I wonder how the metal fans will respond to Metallica’s “One” remix, that has been given more complex title “There Can Be Only One”. Another two production have come from Oliver Moldan, having called good memories of the past progressive parties. Not to mention fresh “Kiss For the Dying” remix from my beloved Hybrid, which makes even my soul dancing. The whole piece has been fulfilled by two successful productions from the Greeks (again). Simply hard to believe, that most of the tracks from CD1 can be heard entirely on the second unmixed CD. And not only those, as among other tasty cakes Seaman has included perfectly dark “Revealing the Door” and a breakbeat interpretation of “No Way Out”. It’s not easy to find such a great progressive set of tracks these days, so I highly recommend to visit your nearest store tomorrow. And I’m ready to bow to Dave once a different country appeared under the “Across Borders” label.
