Tony Thomas is a machine gun when it comes to releasing. I don’t even try to guess how many tracks he’s put out but it’s definitely a few dozen if not more! I decided to check out what he’s been up to lately and got a three track EP on his own Cubic label.

The title tune is a tech house production with several vocal samples that nicely alternate with each other over an acidy, monotonous bassline. Unfortunately the whole thing is a bit to monotonous.

Vocals – mainly men’s – are a common motif on the EP but the greatest ones are included on “Silicont”. Although it’s maybe because the whole production is perfectly and meticulously crafted. Synths come and go, accompanying a very clever percussion and giving a feeling that all elements of the track work for the rhythm.

“Wired” has an acid bass and distorted vocal that matches the main synths. The pace is increased by really cool techy hats. Not bad.

“The Future EP” is to be released also on vinyl but I would leave it to the mp3 and buy “Silicont” only.
