 Remixing great tracks like “Echo” can be always tempting, as the original’s reputation at least can help to have one released. On the other hand it’s not easy to beat something perfect... John Dahlback has tried, but unfortunately with the average result. His interpretation has been totally simplified and devoid of all the attributes that had made the original brilliant. The production is just trivial and brings nothing interesting neither regarding the style nor the sound. The second track “Timeless” was digitally released yet in September 2005 and fit perfectly in the last year’s autumn. These days it’s a bit too late for the, as at least I’ve got enough of noisy neo electric sounds. Additionally, high quality here is only the rhythm section, as simplicity of the melodies used is just embarrassing. The newest Silver Planet’s release is like a knee skirt in the times of mini fashion – far too late and therefore not anymore attractive.
