The brand Danny Howells is a guarantee of a perfect musical feast, which is something that has been proven to everybody who has come across his name. And there have been so many occasions for him to prove it, from excellent compilations on Global Underground to brilliant 6 hour live sets at clubs. Even though the previous albums of “Choice” series didn’t exactly leave me down on my knees, this one is nothing but a treat from the first notes right to the end. With this album, Danny Howells proves that through all the years he has been flirting with music, he’s been unceasingly and consistently going in the same musical direction. His selection, as opposed to the previous releases of the series, will not even put off the artist’s youngest fans because what he presents on the dancefloors these days doesn’t differ all that much from what’s been compiled on “Choice”. That’s not all, as there’s something in the tracks that identify Danny Howells’ style, which is simply good house music with a little funky flavour, and in this particular case with a bit of retro, of course. The choice of tracks was not made accidentally, that’s for sure. Each one of the songs is a collection of memories in itself. Memories that can belong to any one of us, which is precisely why it’s so easy for anyone to identify with this album. There’s no point in quoting track titles as both of the album’s discs are incredibly solid and entertain perfectly. What more could one possibly want? More Danny Howells! Comments[0]
