I’m a bit late with the review yet the single was released already before Christmas, though the delay was not caused by laziness, but difficulties to determine my attitude to the release. Have I succeeded?
I’m going to start complaining from the fact, the promo we received from the label contains three versions of a track called “Kontact”. I mean the “three” is good, but the problem is they don’t really differ one from each other, and that’s probably bad. And the worst thing is that all of them are damn boring so that it is not really easy to go through the whole CD from its beginning to the end. All right, maybe the first remix deserves a good word, because at least here the author decided to give up the irritating pseudo breakdowns. “Pseudo”, because a movie motif played by a piano on foreground of two simple chords is quite far from pleasing me.
Some djs use to say that there’s a spot to every single track in a set. I believe that might be true, because if I had to go back to the productions some day, that would be probably listening to a dj set.
