The Polish duet 3 Channels has already achieved substantial success on the German phonographic market and can now also be spotted outside the borders of this tech superpower. After releases on Crosstown Rebel and Trenton, the boys have returned to make another appearance on Trapez.
The A side of ‘Bar 135’ EP is probably the most harsh proposition from the artists to date. The drilling and sharp sounds of the foreground are truly punishing on the original creaking background, despite the moderate tempo of the track. It’s all about experiments with modulations, within the rules of harmony, of course.
I surprisingly like ‘Amnesia’, the number that opens the flip, the most. The fast tempo is additionally amplified by a cavalcade of bass and percussions and diversified by daringly blended melodies. Moreover, it is worth mentioning the continuous ringing on the track which has probably bore a hole in many heads. Great stuff!
‘Close Up’ is a combination of dark German psychedelic trance (percussion and effects) and old school acid house. The whole lot, placed within experimental arrangements, almost stands in the same line as ‘Amnesia’.
Even though ‘Lady Salata’ does not represent the trend that I really follow, the flip deservers the highest rating.
