Italian-bred Diego Dari, Luca Ricci and vocalist Jane Kumuda drive a warm, gentle breeze of freshness into the music releases market. A breeze most welcomed and anticipated, forasmuch puffing from a Mediterranean country. Trio’s latest release entitled “Further” is described in this piece.
Being perfectly candid I must admit that the strength of this tune lies down in its minimalism, tranquility eradiating from every single vibration of the string – both guitar and vocal. Lemon8 blew that up. He made his remix a dull – ready for instant mass consumption in Campbell’s style – crap, which is not only discreditable in comparison with the B-side version, but can also pretend to a role of an academic “what not to do” tutorial. Although the guitar parts and vocals are on a constant high-level, the whole track could be described as a wash-out.
The second side is where we really start to get into the business. Infection spreads as the track begins to unwind. Revealing its charming nature, it quickly becomes the desired companion for a perfect Sunday afternoon (and not only). Catching live guitar sound, piercing voice repeating a single, hypnotic word “further” through the whole song. Massive! My role here should be reduced to inviting you to listen to it, and I do so.
I seriously doubt that any progressive dj will use the A side as often, as mesmerizing – equally good for ending and beginning a set – Cassino and Laben Dub version. But since I’m not a dj… well, prove me wrong!
