After three years of collaborating, the three artists known as MyMy decided to release their first album. Undoubtedly, Carsten Klemann, Lee Jones and Nicolas Höppner’s debut is worth mentioning.

The album’s title fully reflects the character of the CD, however you shouldn’t expect any chilled out behaviour from it. The gentleness comes from the warm and sublime synths and pads, but the rhythm section doesn’t let you completely slip into your armchair. In such productions as ‘Clean Break’, ‘Reverse Charge’ and the hip hoppy ‘Secret Life of Pants’, the seemingly chaotically scattered sounds give the compositions some nice groove and very much desired freshness. The first track mentioned feels as if it was recorded live by some people going mad with some tools in a kitchen– I can never resist smiling while listening to it.

This very good and thought over album is closed off with three bonus tracks, which only strengthen the feeling of money well spent.
