As written in the interview with Infusion, “The Night Before” came to life when the rest of the gang was on holiday. Unfortunately the solo track by Jamie Stevens sounds like it was made on while-you-wait basis. However, even if it doesn’t amaze as the work of the trio, it doesn’t mean it’s bad. “The Night Before” is a driving peak time track with a lawn mower bass accompanied by cosy synths and the sound of triangle from a distance. I would definitely love to hear that in a club. The flip side brings us the broken version made by one of my favourite duos – Momu. Mark Musselman and JD Moyer from a non-complicated progressive, did a non-complicated breakbeat. Their remix is a moody and atmospheric development of the original’s main theme. Even though both sides of “The Night Before” don’t bring anything new to the music they will probably come in useful to many DJs. This review was printed in the “Laif” magazine. Comments[0]
