- Madoka'S Blindsided Mix

“Illuminate”, “Deviate”, “Space Tourist”, “Distant Region” – every each one of these productions was giving me gooseflesh over a year ago and when I saw that Bart van Wissen is releasing something again I had to get it as soon as possible. I made it but is “Unforeseen” as good as previous productions of this talented Dutch artist? Unfortunately not, but I wouldn’t call his Private Reality debut a failure. His Original Mix is a simple track based on a bit childish synths. A track that ends without us noticing it. It’s just to flat and unable to grab my attention. Where does the 4 point mark come from then, you ask me? The answer lies on the flip. This is where pure class takes control. Pure class in the form of one of my favourite producers, Madoka, whose “Blindsided Mis” is more dynamic and most important – complex. That childish melody is still here but now it is supported by vibrating synths so characteristic of Madoka. The new melody consistently emerges from the background to play first fiddle in the peak time. Additionally, a perfect bass following the tones gives the whole an incredible depth. Another excellent track by Madoka! I’ve got a feeling that Mark Venneri decided to sign “Unforeseen” just because he knew he could make a monster out of that average tune.
