These two tracks are the launch signals of a new label with a name that says it all – Dekay Records. The new enterprise is supposed to release music of less known but talented artist and the fact that the catalog is opened by the owner himself is only a trick for a good start. Well, not only by the owner ‘cause Doves and Roob V were also involved in the process of making the tracks.

Judging from the response “Behind Secret Borders” has triggered off it seems that Dekay Recordings is going to have a decent start. Deservedly, ‘cause even though it’s - so extremely popular nowadays - melodic house it’s not boring as most of the tracks based on shabby ideas. Here, despite of slight similarities to Tom Mangan’s “Chutney”, we are dealing with tremendously sounding production. Spirit rising melodies go together with solid drums and bass in a unique way.

I’m really glad that this vinyl isn’t one sided as the flip is also very good. Not so spectacular but definitely nice and intriguing. If you are – like me – a fan of Agoria’s “Kofea” a smile should show up on your face few times while listening to “God’s Answer”. Smile rarely leaves my face and I’m waiting for DK Records forthcoming releases.

This review was printed in the "Laif" magazine.
