Synergy - Pacifier

Ladies and Gentlemen. It is finally out! I’ve been waiting for this track since I first heard it last year on Ozgur Can’s “Every Way That I Can” mix. Then SOG released “Aftermath” – another teaser of what Inkfish and David West are capable of. However nothing outshines the masterpiece they have made under the guise of Synergy.

The original is a classic monster, peaktimer, killer, mainfloor slayer – call it whatever you want. I can barely sit while listening to it at home nor stop screaming from the dancefloor. A heavy kick drum and bongos are a background of monumental layers of synths that pile up and destroy everything on their way. Even though I’ve listened to it a hundred times I still have the creeps during the breakdown and very gladly give “Pacifier” the highest mark.

Remixing such a tune is a task I would not begrudge. In my opinion it’s impossible to make it better so all you can do is to start all over with something completely different or try to adapt it to slightly different conditions. The second option is what The Flash Brothers decided to do and their “Pacifier” is a bit more trancey. Rearrangement of synths with a little change of their sound, expressive and vigorous bassline and a breakdown with a build-up are the new things you’ll find in the remix. Remix that will not beat the original but also is a solid piece of driving music.

I don’t know the tracks from the beginnings of Blue Planet (Silver Planet’s sister). I’ve read that they even had a licensing deal with Trent Reznor’s label - Nothing. But I do know that their new face will make millions of hands raise up on dancefloors all over the world.
