Up till now, the pseudonym Sarah Goldfarb has been heard while listening to productions from such labels as Trapez, Curle or Dumb Unit. After five years of being on the electronic music scene, Jean-Vincent Luccini and his mate from Marseille, who is known as Jhk, have issued an LP which is a great introduction to 2010.
'Heartbeat City' is not an easy listening album. On first hearing, it gives a feeling of monotony and rawness of material. However, subsequent hearings show the true nature of the album. Luccini has this special gift of intuition which is reserved only for the chosen few and he shows it in every track on this album. Walking through 'Heartbeat City' is like a communion with a huge spectrum of sounds. The most important thing is that its producers didn't use only electronic equipment but also instruments such as strings, drums and piano. That makes it so much interesting.
The final track, which bears the title of the album, makes the biggest impression. Together with 'Back in town', it is this kind of tech-house sound that is doomed to be heard in every packed club. However, most of tracks on the LP are toned down and have a secret nature beside these two. All the tracks from the album have an addictive character, so watch out!
